We at Therapy In Action see handwriting as a necessary skill
for expressing and communicating ideas. Handwriting develops
over time and is the highest level of communication. Therefore,
it is something that must be taught. We believe the most effective
way to teach writing is with a multi-sensory approach. With
Jan Olsen’s “Handwriting Without Tears”, we
have combined a variety of techniques including sensorimotor,
visual-perceptual, organizational, postural control, fine motor
control and eye-hand coordination.
